These terms govern your use of ComplianceOS. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (or your organisation) and ComplianceOS ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the ComplianceOS platform, website, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By registering for an account or accessing the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Service Description
ComplianceOS provides AI-powered tools to help organisations understand and prepare for EU AI Act compliance obligations. The Service includes:
Risk Classification
AI-powered assessment of your systems against EU AI Act risk tiers
Compliance Assessment
Automated review of compliance obligations and identification of gaps
Document Generation
AI-drafted compliance documentation including technical files and risk plans
Compliance Reporting
Dashboards and audit-ready reports tracking your compliance posture
AI Assistant
Chat-based assistant for EU AI Act questions and guidance
Timeline Tracking
Enforcement deadline monitoring and obligation scheduling
Eligibility & Account Responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts to use the Service. The Service is intended for business use only.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at founder@aiactsolutions.com
- Providing accurate information about your AI systems for assessments to be meaningful
- Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where credentials are shared across organisations (unless you hold a multi-seat plan) or where inaccurate information is provided.
Not Legal Advice
ComplianceOS outputs — including risk classifications, compliance assessments, and generated documents — are for informational and guidance purposes only. They do not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, legal advice.
EU AI Act compliance is a complex legal matter. Our AI models are trained on regulatory texts and publicly available compliance guidance, but they can make mistakes, miss nuances specific to your jurisdiction or sector, and cannot account for legal developments after their training cut-off.
We strongly recommend that any material compliance decisions, submissions to regulators, or technical documentation submitted for conformity assessment be reviewed by a qualified legal professional or EU AI Act specialist.
ComplianceOS is not responsible for regulatory outcomes, fines, penalties, or compliance failures arising from your use of or reliance on our outputs.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
Upload false, misleading, or fabricated information about your AI systems to obtain inaccurate compliance assessments
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written consent
Use the Service to develop a competing product or service
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or our internal systems
Transmit malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the Service
Use the Service in a way that could harm the reputation of ComplianceOS
Violations may result in immediate account suspension and, where applicable, legal action.
Subscription & Billing
Billing cycles
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually depending on your selection at checkout. Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year. Prices are displayed exclusive of VAT; VAT will be added where applicable.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. We will send a reminder email 7 days before annual renewals. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account settings.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access to paid features until that date. We do not prorate unused time on cancellation.
Refunds
Refunds are available on a case-by-case basis within the first 14 days of a new subscription. We do not offer refunds for renewals or partial months. Contact founder@aiactsolutions.com to request a refund.
Price changes
We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period. If you do not wish to accept the new price, you may cancel before the next renewal.
Data & Intellectual Property Ownership
Your data
You retain full ownership of all data you input into ComplianceOS, including descriptions of your AI systems, uploaded files, and any information you provide. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service.
Generated documents
Compliance documents and reports generated by the platform using your data are owned by you. You may use, modify, and submit them for regulatory purposes without restriction.
ComplianceOS IP
All platform code, models, user interface elements, trademarks, and proprietary content remain our exclusive property. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Service; they do not transfer any IP rights.
No AI training
We do not use your data or AI system information to train AI models — ours or those of our sub-processors. Your data is used solely to generate outputs for your account.
AI-Generated Outputs
The Service uses large language models (including those from Anthropic and OpenAI) to generate content. You acknowledge that:
AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or hallucinations and should be reviewed before use
The regulatory landscape around the EU AI Act evolves; AI outputs may not reflect the latest guidance or national implementing measures
Outputs are tailored to information you provide — the quality of outputs depends on the accuracy and completeness of your inputs
Generated documents may need customisation for your specific organisational context before submission to regulators
Service Availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the core platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance will be communicated with at least 24 hours' notice where possible, and will be scheduled during low-traffic windows.
AI-powered features depend on third-party model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) and may experience delays or temporary unavailability outside our control. We are not liable for service degradation caused by third-party provider outages.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice. Where we discontinue a paid feature, we will provide a proportional credit or refund.
Termination
Termination by you
You may terminate your account at any time from account settings or by contacting founder@aiactsolutions.com. Upon termination, your access ceases and your data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breaches of these Terms (including the Acceptable Use Policy), non-payment, or fraudulent activity. We will provide notice where legally permissible.
Effect of termination
Upon termination, all licences granted to you cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ComplianceOS and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Regulatory fines, penalties, or sanctions from supervisory authorities
- Loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunities
- Loss of data or failure of security measures
- Compliance failures arising from reliance on our outputs
- Costs of substitute services
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ComplianceOS and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
- Your use of the Service in violation of applicable law
- False or misleading information provided to the Service
- Any third-party claim relating to your AI systems or compliance decisions
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
EU consumers also have the right to access the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may terminate your account before the effective date. If you are on a paid plan, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
